Alpha Omega Epsilon History
Alpha Omega Epsilon was founded at Marquette University on November 13, 1983 by 27 women in engineering with the hope of promoting engineering as a profession for women, and supporting more women pursuing engineering degrees. In 1990 the National Executive Board was founded and AΩE increased its scope to promote women in all STEM fields. We believe everyone can pursue a STEM career, and want to help our sisters achieve their dreams, whatever they may be!
From our founding chapter at Marquette University, we have since spread across the United States from coast to coast and even into Canada with a total of 48 active chapters! In the past two years alone, we have founded over ten new chapters, and are looking forward to the installation of several more in the next year.
